BMW & MADE Honors Women Who Pay It 4ward in NYC

Sunday, August 6th, MADE Magazine & BMW of North America’s “Women Who Pay It 4ward” Brunch New York City honored four outstanding women for commitment to their professional industries and local communities. This exclusive, invite-only experience took place at the posh STK in midtown NYC; hosted by multimedia host, speaker and new co-host of Fox Television’s “Page Six TV”, Bevy Smith.

Since 2015, the brunch event has helped BMW highlight community heroes making a difference behind the scenes in various philanthropic capacities. Carmen Perez, Rachel Goldstein, Fatima Rahmati and Yvonne Kopacz Wright were the recent women honored in New York.

Carmen Perez is best known for crossing the globe fighting for the rights and injustices of the incarcerated as well as being the Co-Chair of the Women’s March that took place earlier this year.

Rachel Goldstein is the founder of Agent of Change, a company solely focused on the core value of making a difference in people’s lives through its event production and raising millions of dollars for charities, non-profits, wellness and social change issues.

Fatima Rahmati fights for the rights of refugees and offers means of support for Afghan women and men seeking help.

Yvonne Kopacz Wright is best known for her acting roles in Guiding Light, Days of Our Lives, and Law and Order, to name a few. She is using her celebrity influence to raise awareness about saving the honeybee from extinction and educating audiences on how they can positively affect our ecosystem.

To date, BMW of North America has honored 40 philanthropic women in seven cities across the United States, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte and New York. Through this event series, BMW has donated to over nine charities that specifically support underserved women and girls.

BMW of North America continues to venture into the community during these events by inviting attending guests to “Drive for a Cause.” Each visitor was offered an opportunity to test drive the new BMW convertibles on site at the brunch series. For every guest that did a test drive, a donation was made to the Powherful Foundation, A 501(c)3 organization created by American Broadcast Journalist Soledad O’Brien, that gets young women to and through college named.
