On Saturday, June 4th, global champagne brand, Veuve Cliquot classically celebrated a favorite American pastime while gathering a diverse group of influencers, tastemakers and celebs. In an elaborate summer event that has taken place over the last nine years, excited crowds of millennials ferried from Battery Park in Lower Manhattan to witness the high-end luxury brand’s annual experiment at Jersey City’s Liberty State Park.Life-size Jenga sets and checker boards set the scene while guests rested under huge yellow umbrellas. Whether guests went for preppy seersucker suits and fancy rompers, or gorgeous fascinators and parasols, everyone in attendance was most definitely fancy.The Rose Garden was the spot for celebs and this year, appearances from Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o were a couple of our millennial favorites. All of the celebrities who appeared had a great time as they rooted for on the polo teams and took selfies at photo booths, while sipping on Veuve’s new champagne. What a day…what a day.
